This morning I decided to get out my X-files series 9 DVD box set and watch the las disc. I realised that even though I have had this set for ages I have never actually seen the final episode (titled the Truth). I thought it would be a good idea to refresh me of some of the storylines before seeing the film next week (although I believe the film is stand alone)
The final episode dealt with the whole 'Alien' colonisation which is apparently going to happen in 2012. And this got me thinking....
I wonder if there will be another film released around that time (2012) to continue that part of the story. Perhaps this film is to get the series back in mind in for such a release. It's possible (although I haven't seen the film yet so maybe it doesn't lead into another one)
Will there be another film? The truth is out there........

I think the first film was set after the end of series 5 and before series 6, so a long tie before the series ended

i have prob seen around 70 or 80% of all the series complete
which is a shame because i have been hesitating for ages to buy the complete series box-set (or should i say suitcase - lol)
do you know when the new movie is released here in UK?
and can you recommend that i buy the whole set of x-files series? (as i am sure i have seen most of them) -

It came out on Friday so it should be at cinemas now. I am hoping to see it on Tuesday.
As for the box sets... thats a tough one. If you can get them for a good price then yes, if not just go for the first six series.
was the 1st x-files movie made after the final series 9 episode?

thought the 1st x-files movie was good but not a classic
the 2nd one (coming out very soon....) looks like an improvement on the 1st
