Yesterday my OH and I went to the big Smokey Smoke. Londinium City.
We tied our little red hankies full of all our belongings and attached them to long sticks, met up with a talking cat wearing thigh high boots, and then realised that we were not in a nursery rhyme. This is real life!
The Lord of the Rings Musical was spectacular. From Hobbitses and orcs wandering around the audience to the stage effects making the hobbits disappear when they put on the ring (How did they do that) it was a joy to behold. The music was very Gaelic and at one point I thought they were going to break into a riverdance- however as great as it was I didn't come out thinking 'I must get the soundtrack. The whole thing was truly magical to watch. Smeagol was excellent, and certainly won the 'overacter of the night' award. The Ents and the Huge big Spidery thing (You can tell I've not seen the third film) were also very good. And thankfully they didn't over emphasise the sluchy romance bwetween that Slutty elf woman and the musclehead Aragant. (Did I get that right?)
The worse thing about the shwo was the really tall man that satin front of us. Boooooo!
We then had dinner in China Town. Niiiiiiiiice food :)
The 39 steps was also good (But I have seen it before) Still Funny  But this time I had an annoying American blonde woman sitting in front of me who kept moving her mop of permed hair around. She then lifted her arm right in fron of me for a good couple of minutes for no apparent reason. She then kept taking her purse from around her head and then replacing it. During one very funny scene she started laughing but turned to the person next to her to explain to her what was funny. Oh dear. Blonde is as Blonde does
