I have been getting into some poetry at the moment. Philip Larkin. HEre's a famous one you may have heard of.....

Philip Larkin - This Be The Verse

They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.

.. is apparently what eye have got- according to my optician. Eye went to the I doctor today It was my contact lens check. I needed to go because the Contact lens by post office have been keeping my latest pair hostage until I do. But now I have they should release them (I hope my contact lenses don't suffer from Stockholm syndrome and jump into the postmans eyes!)
Anyway the optician said I have lovely wet eyes... he then went on to tell me I had a lovely wet nose and shiny coat and fed me pedigree chum fro a bowl. due to my excessively overflowing tear ducts. This made me cry - therefore proving his statement.
I really can't make a trip to the optician sound any more exciting- you just had to be there
