Damn you Carlos

by cj592 @ 2008-03-30 - 09:53:21

Has anyone else got a wonderful array of Spamming comments from Carlos? Does anyone know of a quick way to delete Spamments? There should be a button that says "See all recent comments from this blogger" then I can delete them all easily.

Damn you Carlos!

EDIT: Haha. I have just deleted you out of existence. Now, who's next? ;)

Club CJ on Tour

by cj592 @ 2008-03-29 - 13:29:28

When I am not online I keep thinking of things that I want to blog about. I keep meaning to give details of the things that I did during my month of Internet hell. So I am going to start that now...
Because during half term something happened.
Something happened that I thought would never happen.
I met up with someone from work
For a drink!
Okay, it may have been just for a few hours during an afternoon- but it is still progress! Maybe I can make friends after all. Woohoo- CLUB CJ ON TOUR!

And even the history guy is actively seeking me out for chats! In the staffroom- in full view of everyone!

Why does it have to happen now that I am leaving!

(Ps the HOH is still giving me dirty looks!)

Poaching the Webber and the future of interviews (Vote Now)

by cj592 @ 2008-03-28 - 20:41:06

I was reading in the paper today that ITV want to poach Andrew Lloyd Webber to host a show where they find a leading actor for Jesus Christ Superstar. Now I've not minded the shows so far- and I will probably watch the Oliver and his performing Nancies- but please.... can noone come up with an original idea? Or will the TV be blocked up with programs designed to fill positions? I foresee a time when there will be no job interviews anymore... instead a job interview will last ten weeks and be televised with the public voting you out of the running- (A bit much for a floor sweeping position at McDonalds)
But there is one show that works for us here- in fact this is a televised interview. Yes- The Apprentice is back on, and it get high viewer ratings for its first episode. I am looking foward to seeing how this bunch of hopeless inbreeds pan out. Oh Yes!

The Jar- A poem

by cj592 @ 2008-03-27 - 21:10:54

I have been reading peotry and (also after reading rithompson's poem) I have composed another
It is titled "The Jar

The Jar
By CJ
The jar lies empty, gleaming
A sweet reminder of a sweeter
sticky, sticky splendour
Spread across the bread
A treat before bed
But now lies dead.
But will there be some life ahead
For the jar that now lies dead.
Perhaps a home for household bits
Some marbles or some paper clips
Or pierced lid allows some air
Inside the chamber- a home to share
For life within an insects lair
A sticky, sticky stick insect!

French and Saunders and their audience types

by cj592 @ 2008-03-26 - 22:46:07

French and Saunders Live last night was really good. Great fun. I loved the way they played off the whole 'I've got the best sitcom' rivalry. They did the old 'contraception' sketch and the original Ab-Fab sketch. And there was a huge Vicar of Dibley!
And the encore was the dirty old men! lol. Very good stuff.
The only disappointment was the crowd. There seems to be two types of people that enjoy French and Saunders- Really tall people and really short people. And of the latter there are two types- the short people who have big hair and the short people that end up not being able to see! Luckily I fall under the old 'tall people' category. My OH falls under the short people that end up not being able to see category- but luckily the tall woman in front of us had to move because she couldn't see behind the short woman with big hair in front of her! Then we could see.
And on the way home we had chips. Well, I say 'we', but apparently my OH didn't want chips (but was quite happy to dive into mine) I thought I was going to have a Joey moment (CJ DOESN'T SHARE FOOD)

A very good night :)

Norwagian visitors, another console and an extended Bully

by cj592 @ 2008-03-24 - 20:32:20

Hasn't the weather this weekend been odd. First sunny, then rainy, then snowing! Our Landlord has been down for the easter. He comes from Norway and when he is here he lives in a little hut above the garage. He was looking forward to having a nice sunny break- That didn't quite happen- did it!!!
I have been playing computer games for most of the day. I went out a few weeks ago and bought myself an XBox (for the other room) So I am now officially a 2 console geek! I bought the Lost computer game- really wasn't worth it- it was a tiresome adventure with very little action. But I also bought a re-release of a game that I played ages ago. Remember Canis Canem Edit? Well the Xbox has a new version "Bully' The scholarship edition" with some new missions, characters and classes to do- And man I never realised I was so bad at Geography!

Happy Easter. Anyone sick of Chocolate yet?

by cj592 @ 2008-03-23 - 19:53:48

Hmmm.... Easter egg chocolate is by far the best chocolate ever. Yummy :)

Enjoying poetry- Larkin around!

by cj592 @ 2008-03-22 - 18:38:28

I have been getting into some poetry at the moment. Philip Larkin. HEre's a famous one you may have heard of.....

Philip Larkin - This Be The Verse

They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.

Lovely Juicy Eyes

by cj592 @ 2008-03-22 - 15:41:36

.. is apparently what eye have got- according to my optician. Eye went to the I doctor today ;) It was my contact lens check. I needed to go because the Contact lens by post office have been keeping my latest pair hostage until I do. But now I have they should release them (I hope my contact lenses don't suffer from Stockholm syndrome and jump into the postmans eyes!)
Anyway the optician said I have lovely wet eyes... he then went on to tell me I had a lovely wet nose and shiny coat and fed me pedigree chum fro a bowl. due to my excessively overflowing tear ducts. This made me cry - therefore proving his statement.
I really can't make a trip to the optician sound any more exciting- you just had to be there ;)

A message for Adele...

Good Friday, Bad Dreams ad Wooden floors

by cj592 @ 2008-03-21 - 08:43:32

It is Good Friday and today I am going to visit my family. I am delivering the easter eggs. It seems strange doing this during a school term, but the benefit is that the Easter 2 week break won't have Easter in it! My mum is doing well after her operation. The post op tests are promising- so that's good!
I had a bad dream last night- whenever I have bad dreams they are always of two types- one of them is being a rubbish teacher- (I have this one often) I dream that I am taking a class and everything goes wrong and I get stressed! It seems so real, but when I wake up I get so relieved that it was just a dream!
We are still trying to get used to the new place. Except it feels quite cold. The gas is now working but we have spent about £90 in gas this month, just to keep warm! One of the other annoyances is the wooden floor. My OH has always fancied having wooden floors, and I quite like them too, but they are so cold under foot (and get really dusty and dirty). I miss carpet! We have now both agreed that wooden floors are going to be a No-No when we get our own place. Glad we found out now :)

Birthday boys and their toys

by cj592 @ 2008-03-20 - 22:41:17

It's my birthday today. Wooohoo. Thanks for all your kind messages and piccies.
I didn't manage to get online last night as I was too tired. I was asleep by 8:30
Today was a tough day at work but two things made it better. 1) We now have a four day weekend! and 2) IT's My Birthday!
My OH is spoiling me madly. We have just roasted a duck- Not for dinner, but I got a new flame thrower and we tested it in the local park! Hehe.
I have had my presents, my main one being a Rocking chair that goes with the PS3- it has speakers in it and it vibrates. (I think my OH may be wanting to use it too :??: )

Bastard Tossers

by cj592 @ 2008-03-18 - 21:03:10

... is the real meaning of BT.
Here's what happened.....
Early in February we organised a home move from BT. We were only moving just up the road- no change of postcode or anything so we thought it would be much easier to take our old number with us. "Yes that would be fine" said BT and set it up so that the old number would be connected, IT was due to be done on Friday 22nd. We moved in on Frid 15th so that would be a whole week. When Friday 22nd came- we fund out that it hadn't been connected. We phoned (a freephone number- but no prone to freephone from- except our mobiles) and they informed us that..."It looks like BT have reconnected your old number back to your old house!" TWITS! "Don't worry, we can get it connected by Tuesday 26th" So we waited until then. We kept ringing the old number getting the 'The number is not connected' message.
When we phoned to complain they said that there was a number at the address. THey had given us a brand new number. "Don't worry" They said "We can get the old number reconnected no by Friday 29th."
Friday 29th Came and went. No reconnection. "I am sorry, but our systems our down." So we tried again on Monday 3rd March. "You have given us the wrong number " we complained and told them the number they had given us. "You are aware that you are not calling us from that number" she said. They had gone and taken the new number away and replaced it with.... another new number! "Don't worry" they said "We can get it connected by Friday 7th!"
On Friday 7th it was connected! We got our new number back. Now to get online. We called BT internet on Friday at 4pm. "I am sorry our systems are down. Phone ack in a couple of hours" We phoned back after 6pm. "We want internet back"
"I am sorry, but your internet has been disconnected. It will take a week to get it reconnected. That will be Monday 17th! If only you had phoned before 6pm!"
BAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
And that, is in a nutshell, how we have been pissed around by the Bastard Tossers

We're back

by cj592 @ 2008-03-17 - 21:02:39

I cannot believe how long it has been! I have been climbing the walls without the internet. It's been a whole month!
But I'm back now.....
And man have I lot's to write about......

Penguin chatter: Could the rumour be true?

by cj592 @ 2008-03-17 - 18:47:43

cjisback

still at work. Grrrrrrr

by cj592 @ 2008-03-05 - 08:56:54

Another quick one from work. BT have royally messed us around. We have had two new phone numbers in as many days- and all we wanted was our old one back. It seems that I wont be online at home until march 17th earliest! Damnitall
