How to put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

by cj592 @ 2008-01-30 - 21:35:17

I was given this today by one of my students.
I am posting a link to a web site for you to try. Have a go at answering each question before revealing the answer and then go on to the next. See what you score.
.... I thought it was quite funny and can imagine using it with my kids.... but the Americans seem to have gone one further, because I found this
It is a management tool for sale called "How Do You Fit A Giraffe Into A Refrigerator? Video Purchase" and it being sold for $759... which is about £400! HOW MUCH?????!!!!! That's a lot of money to see stupid animation of some jungle animals ;)
hehe Still, Management tools for management tools

Concert tickets- what a to-do

by cj592 @ 2008-01-30 - 20:51:43

I ave just watched that item on Watchdog about that bastard ticket website Londoncitytickets.co.uk who have been selling tickets to customers and not sending the tickets- and afterwards not then being unwilling to refund the money. One guy on the show said he paid £1300 for Led Zeppelin tickets.
Now I hate the way that concert tickets are sold in this country. Tickets for big shows are only ever released on a weekday at 9am! Being a teacher I am half way through my first class and am never available at that time... and then tickets sell out in minutes. I never have a bloody chance. Which is why I have to resort to other sources. I have recently seen the Spice Girls and saw Take That last year also seen Kylie and the Scissor Sisters. But I normally have to buy tickets from ebay. And I normally have to pay over the face value price And then I am never entirely sure if I will get the tickets

Is there a better way to give everyone a better chance to get hold of tickets? It seems to me that companies/touts pay dozens of people to be on the phone exactly at 9 on the day they are sold so as to get as many as possible. Gives us normal folk no chance!
