I remember when I was doing medieval history at school, we had to learn about crop rotation. If I remember rightly it involved a set of fields which would harvest different crops at different times on a rotational basis so that the soil could replenish different nutrients at different times. So one time a field would have wheat and another would have barley, then the next time the wheat field would have barley and the next would be turnips. And every now there would always be a fallow field at some point.
Now I had this drummed in to me as I imagine many people did.... including Rafa Benitez. Because his new player-picking style is reminiscent of the old medieval crop rotation system. But in this report my hero Peter Crouch defends the system.
Talented striker Peter Crouch believes there's no reason why Rafa Benitez should ditch his rotation policy at the squad.
That's all well and good, but ditches were never even involved in the rotation system! It had to be fields.
But in the recent 2-2 draw with Spurs, I wonder if Crouch would feel the same. This was on the BBC site
Manager Rafael Benitez made five changes for this game, with Peter Crouch deemed not even worthy of a place on the Liverpool bench.
Not even on the bench eh Peter? Does that make you the fallow field?
For he's a jolly good Fallow, For he's a jolly good Fallow, For he's a jolly good Fallow, And so say Benitez!

NOT!) You can see on his face... Concentrate-2-3. And as for John I have some advice for you....
