"User not found" as narrated by a very famous person

by cj592 @ 2007-08-31 - 07:33:06

I got an invitation from a blog user to become their friend. This is not unusual as there are lots of spammers who block invite.
But I clicked the link on their blog anyway. I always like to look at a persons blog if they have invited me.
But there was no blog there. I got an error message. But that's not all I got a very pleasant surprise

usernotfound

Look who's giving us the bad news! It's MORPH!
Obviously when his character as Gran Mitchell was axed, he has had to find other work.
Still it's nice to see he is working!

A weekend separates ...

.. the time when I have to go back to work. So what am I doing? Am I relaxing; making the most of my last few days of holiday?

No!

I am going for a bloody interview!

A walk in the Wood

by cj592 @ 2007-08-29 - 20:37:46

This afternoon (early evening) my OH and I went for a walk, and instead of describing the journey I thought I would draw the layout.

forest walk

We left home and went down to the Plane Tree. (It really is my favourite tree) And instead of going down the the A-ha log we went to Mixamatosis Crossing. Then snuck down Secret Monkey Walk and down past Squirrel town and along Dog Shit walk.
We then retraced our steps and tried to go a different route from Mixamatosis Crossing up to Chainsaw Alley, but it was impassable due to Mud.

SO we had to return via the Plane Tree

It was a good hour's walk.

I have a sneaky suspicion that those are not the official names for those points of interest

Sobriety Referees

by cj592 @ 2007-08-27 - 20:27:34

I need you help, friends
My OH is not convinced when I tell her that I was not in fact drunk last night, but I was completely sober when I was trying to entertain her friends with my finger related shenanigans. So if I could get you all to leave a comment below that I am in fact the model of sobriety and maturity and would never indulge in silly, childish behaviour.

Thanks in advance

So that's what happened to Geri's union jack dress

by cj592 @ 2007-08-27 - 19:34:06

Yesterday my mum came down and we went, as usual, to the Battle Proms. We had been worried about the recent weather, but the sun was blazing and the ground was dry! Which is more than can be said for the three of us by the end of the evening!
The day was lovely. We took our picnic and met up with some of my OH's friends there.
There was the fly by from the spitfire and Lesley Garrett came and dazzled us all with her deep throat action.
My OH and her friend were playing 'guess what Lesley will come on wearing next' but didn't do very well. Although she did end the evening wearing a rather special union flag dress- which I think she had borrowed from Geri Haliwell. (Although she may have had the waist brought in a bit!)
And after Four cans of lager, three bottles of wine and a rousing chorus of Jerusalem later. We staggered home (the walk back is much longer than the walk down :??: )

Toyah's Breastplate, Slapperama and My Twenty Year Wet Dream

by cj592 @ 2007-08-26 - 10:50:56

Last night was eighties fantabulosa!
WE got quite a good place near the front where we could set up camp. And we tucked into our lager!
At 7:30 the show started with Toyah! So we decided to get up front.
Toyah was brilliant. She was sporting an unusual black number with silver breastplate accessory.
toyah
I don't know much Toyah, but I did recognise 'It's a mystery' and 'Sweet child of mine'. I also remember having a crush on her when I was young. Must have been the strawberry blonde/red hair.
After Toyah came my Pin Up from my youth. Carol Decker from T'Pau. She came in singing 'Sex Talk' which is a fantastic song. Then there was Valentine, Heart and Soul and China in your hand. "Sorry to bore you with all the ballads" she said. "But it's your own fault. You bought them." I got very excited and sang along- I knew all the words! Oh man that took me back to my Teenage bedroom. Many a private moment was spent there. I have waited twenty years to see her and woohoo (I think I wet myself a little). She's gorgeous- it must be the strawberry blonde/red hair.
tpau
Then came Bananarama.
bananarama
Now is it my imagination or have Bananarama changed a lot since the eighties? I'm sure there used to be three of them. I can't complain about the songs, especially 'Robert De Nero's Waiting' which really got the crowd going, but to be honest they could have been any old slappers picked up from a Karaoke bar in Ibiza (Eye Beef Ah!) And the Banana on the left, really didn't look like she was enjoying herself. Perhaps she was upset that the cute dancer on the left had more of a fan club in the crowd! (And he was cute)

During the interval we went back to our seats and finished our beer and nibbles. For the second half, we decided not to rush to the front as there were far too many old(ish) ladies crowing round to get a look at the next act- Nick Heyward. He was good. Loved 'Fantastic Day!'
Then came Belinda Carlisle. And she was hot! She was wearing a similar black number to Toyah but without the breastplate. She really got the crowd moving. I must admit I had a little crush on her. It mus be her Strawberry blonde/red hair. Hold on I spot a pattern forming.........
Midge Ure topped the evening, and there is nothing better than hearing the haunting melody of Vienna by the light of a full(ish) moon. Then he finished with Dancing with tears in our eyes. A real toe tapper to end the evening.

It was a fantastic evening. And I recommend to anyone to go and see any of these old eighties tours. They are great value for money!

Premiership football has been cancelled!

by cj592 @ 2007-08-26 - 08:47:12

Due to a number of refereeing inaccuracies, the rest of this year as Premiership season has been canceled. The current table will now be the end of season table.

So let's see who is where

Congratulations to Wigan, who have won a Champions league place!
Arsenal just missed out on Champions league, but still get into Europe!

{Well I can dream}

Tis Saturday

by cj592 @ 2007-08-25 - 09:59:57

And this evening my OH and I are going out. It's Battle Prom weekend and tonight it's the eighties show with Bananananananarama, T'pau and Belinda Carlisle. I hope the weather stays good and is enough to dry the ground, because the recent rain has made the ground sodden and the venue is outside. I can see that tonight's crowd will make the ground all muddy and yucky for tomorrows Classic evening.

Big Brother final countdown and Liam is an arse!

by cj592 @ 2007-08-24 - 20:36:16

Well it is nearly at an end- big brother. And in my opinion, it has dragged for a while. IT's only the twins that make it worth watching.
What an arse Liam is. And to think I was going to take him away from Paddy, well Pads is welcome to him. I feel sorry for Kara now, after being up for eviction every time (just because she is a newbie), being ridiculed in the task where she was stated as the Nastiest and worst housemate and today Liam asked the twins in a task if they hated her. He is up his own ass! And this Ziggy/Liam/Brian mens club is so dull!
It would have been so much better if this week, anyone who got a nomination was up for eviction.

And I am not surprised that they have axed celebrity big brother for next year. Ho hum

PS. I am still watching it.

My blogging year: Part 5

by cj592 @ 2007-08-24 - 18:49:07

June
June gave me a little bit of a break at work when I managed to go on a jaunt to Holland. Then the internal job came up which I applied for and then withdrew from, leading to a whole week of people talking to me. Big brother was well under way and Doctor Who stunned us all with some great episodes.

July
IN July I finally managed to perform in a choir. Doctor Who climaxed and my legs appeared on TV. The new Harry Potter book got released and a night out to see the Scissor sisters turned out be be very expensive!

And that brings us to this month!

Happy Blogiversary!

Where are they now? Morph Exclusive

by cj592 @ 2007-08-24 - 10:06:25

After all those wonderful TV documentaries that take w well known TV shows of yesteryear and follow the actors lives afterwards, I think there has been one TV family that has been overlooked. And I am sure we have all wanted to know what has happened to them.

And CJ has the excusive!

But first of all let us remind ourselves of the family.....
morph2
Left to right: Morph, Delilah, Gillespie, Folly, Chas, Grandmorph
Front: The Very Small Creatures, Nailbrush

So what has been happening to them since the show was axed?

Nailbrush decided to stay in acting, grew long hair and was recently seen in the Film version of the Magic Roundabout playing Dougal

The Very Small Creatures, after extensive plastic(ine) surgery, have had a lot of success presenting the links on BBC3 and CBeebies.

Folly took the axing of the show very badly. She sank further into depression and suffered from Anorexia. After several long hellish years, she finally decided to change her life and went into Rehab. Where she has now befriended Pete Doherty. However it sees obvious that Pete is just using her (Although I cant imagine what use he would have for a bit of foil)

Delilah also stayed in the acting business. She had a few minor roles on TV, such as Olive in 'On The Buses' but she is best remembered for her recent role as Linda in the BBC show 'Gimme Gimme Gimme'

Grandmorph fell on hard times and shaved off his beard. He then dyed it blue and sold it to Marge Simpson. He then borrowed one of Delilah's wigs and dress and has a relatively successful career as a drag queen in Las Vegas.

Morph and Chas decided to stay in the media and had a brief Pop career as the band Right Said Fred.

Gillespie's fate was more tragic. He met someone over the internet and didn't follow safety guidelines. Unfortunately this was his fate.
stabbed
Police never found out who killed Gillespie, but they are looking for someone who perhaps has a pencil missing. His picture has been placed on Blog.co.uk as a reminder.

Red balls and dumpy disguises

by cj592 @ 2007-08-23 - 20:17:17

I slept very badly last night- so much so that I was awake at 4:30am and had to get up. I came downstairs and watched TV. And I had to put the fire on because I was freezing.
I did get a little bit of sleep, but not much.
Today my OH had her first aftercare hospital visit. It was an exercise class and discussion. She said she really enjoyed it and would go back again ( she is supposed to do 6 weeks) She even said there was one of those huge red inflatable balls to exercise on- I didn't think they really existed.
Meanwhile I had to post some items that I had sold on ebay.
Later on we both went back to the dump. We discussed wearing a disguise just in case we were recognised from their hall of shame. Once again we got there just in time for the big lorries to collect one of the skips, so we had to wait ages for it to go. The people that work there are really quite amusing.
And talk about insane... most of their site is 'outside' but they are not allowed to smoke within the fenced area. One step out of the gates they can smoke! Don't figure! The smoke just wafts back in again!
Other things that have happened..... My latest game is up here.

My blogging year: Part 4

by cj592 @ 2007-08-23 - 13:50:03

March
March saw me continuing my dance and music career as I continued my dance lessons and choir practices. I got an interview that led nowhere and Mr Tie Dip had started making life a little less enjoyable. And I became an uncle again when the twins were born.
Oh and my new toy arrived
ps3
April
April wasn't great. It was the month that my OH found out she wasn't well and I had a really shit week at work. OFSTED came, and observed my lesson (and only my lesson). And my dancing world, I upped the stakes and went intermediate!
In other news, chocolate seemed to be getting a lot of mentions. I was seduced by the Munchies and invented a whole range of religious confectionery.

May
May saw the culmination of the choir practices... and I was too ill to participate. Damn! All that hard work. And my dance class got more immature when I got ratted on by a snitch!
In blogland, I decided to write reports on a few people, and the latest Bloscars picture came to light!

Rubbish collection and the Tip's most wanted!

by cj592 @ 2007-08-22 - 20:33:54

Firstly, before I chat about today, a quick moan about bin-men. Our council has changed to this every other week regime, where one week they pick up the bins and the next week they pick up the recycling boxes. Now, I all for recycling but I don't like having refuse building up over a fortnight. And what makes things worse is that the bin men came yesterday (I am sure I heard them and all the Lanes bins have been emptied.... except ours. Ours is still full! WTF! So I have two weeks worth of bags in there uncollected and nowhere to collect the next fortnights rubbish! That has really annoyed me!! I am sure this new regime is going to be less hygienic!
Anyway, today (and keeping on the theme of rubbish) after, my OH and I put up the new furniture, we went to the tip to dump the rubbish. Mostly packaging- cardboard and polystyrene. There was a worker on duty who was monitoring what was going in the bins. I threw a load of cardboard into the bin when she shouted at me. "What have you thrown in there" and she opened up the cardboard and there was the polystyrene and plastic straps. "OH dear, we have been naughty. That doesn't go here"
Then my OH confessed that she had done the same thing. "Tut tut!I shall put you on my wall of shame!" she said. Oh dear. So not only did we appear like thieves unloading a car with it's alarm going off yesterday, now we have been branded bin bandits and will appear on the refuse Tip's Ten most wanted! What a life!

I need a good screw

by cj592 @ 2007-08-22 - 11:48:49

It is annoying when putting up flat pack furniture, the cross head screws that they use are made of quite a soft metal and after a while the cross engrave in the top wears out. Now the bloody screwdriver doesn't move the thing. I've had to get the pliers to them!

My OH has been putting up furniture. She enjoys putting up furniture. Well, when I say my OH is, this is how it tends to go.
1)She read the instructions
2)She follows the instructions
3)Somehow it goes wrong
4)I read the instructions
5)I work out where she goes wrong due to misreading the instructions
6) I undo all the work
7)We put it right together.
8) we then go to the next stage. Repeat step 1-7 until item is complete.

However, if I were to suggest that I do it in the first place.... well, suffice to say that I have learnt not to. She is enjoying herself.

This is a rude post

by cj592 @ 2007-08-21 - 21:33:07

I tell you now.. rude! You will be shocked.

My OH moaned earlier about her periods. The bleedin' pussy!

A silly old boot and an alarming alarm

by cj592 @ 2007-08-21 - 21:14:24

It's been a funny old day, what with the Phone call and all. My OH came home at about 4 and we went into town because she wanted to pick up the new shelves that I am buying. There is an Argos in town with a small delivery bay behind it, where people normally park when they are picking stuff up. However, there was a huge delivery lorry parked there so there was no where to park. So we had to park {ahem} outside the shop. I rushed in to pick up the heavy boxes whilst I left my OH with the car keys to sort the back seat out. I came out with one load and went back for the next. When I came back out the car alarm went off. We have a really sensitive one that goes off if you don't pay it a compliment that goes off when a door is open for too long.
However, my OH had lost the keys. So there we were, parked not entirely legally trying to not be noticed with the boot open, the alarm blaring and the only way to turn it off was the clicker on the keys that we had lost!
So we unpacked the boot, thinking it must have fallen in, and there were people coming out of shops to see what was going on! And what did they see? Two suspicious characters unloading a boot of a car with a burglar alarm blaring!
eventually we found the keys...... They were still n the lock of the boot! Silly old boot!

My blogging year: Part 3

by cj592 @ 2007-08-21 - 11:57:43

December 2006
And my days at work were getting more tiring and depressing, however the Christmas carol concert was nice and it sparked my interest in the choir again, and led to us going to Midnight Mass for the first time in ages. It was also the month my OH got lost on the way to Devon due to traffic detours, which panicked me. I also found out who I was in a past life
IN TV news, Leona won the X factor (But where the hell is she now?)

January 2007
When January came I resolved to do new things. And it started in January with our first Greek night and I joined the choir!
In the news, Jade Goody made an arse of herself on Big Brother and I solved the worlds prison crisis!

February 2007
February saw us going to our first live TV recording as an audience member and I continued my resolutions to try new things and went to my first dance class- who can forget the first meeting I had with the Tiger Woman! (not me!)
It was the month that the new 'Where's Britney' Craze swept the nation

How random is random?

by cj592 @ 2007-08-20 - 12:10:09

I was just wondering about how the MP3 randomly generates the songs I listen to. I know that there is no such thing as an electronic random number generator as they follow programs, but when I listen to my MP3 I notice that it tends to play the same songs from albums. Or is that coincidence?

Made up word of the day 5.

My blogging year: Part 2

by cj592 @ 2007-08-19 - 21:17:06

October 2006
IN October, my OH had a lot of hassle with the bank, as someone tried to use her card details. Actually the banks were very good. I had more hassle at work with a parent who decided I was wrong and he was right and I got more than I bargained for when I went to Brighton.
IN the news, Madonna got in trouble for adopting a baby (transcript here) and the one day in History was launched on the BBC, but I wasn't able to post a comment!

It bloody won't let me make an entry :(

And the Numberwang craze swept the nation!

November 2006
IN November I started Christmas shopping and I, stupidly, deviated from the list. I started missing my old job, but I got an outstanding on a lesson observation. Not so great news for my OH as her Sister in law died and she took her first drive down to Exeter to be with her brother.
In other news, Girls Aloud released 'Something Kinda Ooh' which I managed to successfully translate and the devil arrived in the form ao a Satanic Steed!

The Maloudy Blues and my OH's evil plan

by cj592 @ 2007-08-19 - 17:56:52

I can't believe that we are going to draw this match (Liverpool v Chelsea) because of that Bad decision by the Ref. Giving a Penalty when Malouda clearly just wanted to ignore the ball and bump groins with Finnan! How Aggravating.
And I blame myself. I missed the beginning of the match and came in half way through the first half and we were one nil up! My OH said "You know what's going to happen, as soon as you start watching it you're gonna lose!"
"Don't say that. I may never watch another game" at which I saw her rub her hands and give an evil cackle.
"What?"
"Nothing" she said.

Oh well, at least it was a draw, and we're not Man United!
