Lee in a loin cloth, same old Jospeh and approaching the Scissors

by cj592 @ 2007-07-26 - 14:48:02

I think their ought to be a law against women that go to theatres with very big hair! I wasn't even directly behind her but her hair was so big that it blocked quite a portion of the view. Haha, it wasn't that bad for me, but I did feel sorry for the small girls in fron of me who must have had a worse view.
Anyway, back to yesterday......
We went to see Jospeh at the Adelphi, starring the winner of the TV show Lee whatsisface. And I must admit I was impressed. Seeing him in the role made it more obvious to us that the other two finalists would never have been able to pull it off. And there were quite a few Lee fans there- Including miss Big Hair a few rows in front, who almost fainted when he came on in a loin cloth! The show was very good, however I do have two criticisms (my OH says I am being too picky.) The first is I suppose due to the fact that it hasn't been going for long, but the lady playing the Narrator made a few mistakes in her lines. But she did her best to recover from them. Early days I know.
THe second little niggle I have is this. I saw the show many years ago when Jason Donovan was in it. IT was at the Palladium, and it was pretty much the same show- same jokes, same props etc- the same singing camel, the same giant sphinx with the googly eyes and the same one armed bandit corn machine. The only thing that was different was a new song for the Pharoah (a slow ballad with a few Elvis jokes in there). I would have hoped that, because this is a new production, they could have done a few new things. But I suppose it is easier to pull out the old props and use the same jokes.
But those aside, it was an excellent show. My OH loved it!

Today we have set up the TV and are now gobsmacked by the size of it. We may even get cricks in our necks. When I say 'we' set up the TV, I do mean the royal 'we' (as in me)
And later on tonight we are back out again! This time we are going to the O2 to see the Scissor Sisters live. Not sure how the timings are gonna run, but we think we won't be back until 1am, which is going to make tomorrow more tiring. Not sure how much time I will have over the next two days, because my OH is going to hospital and will be staying overnight.

So until the next time I blog, hope you are all having a nice time.

PS. I haven't done the film thing yet, so if you haven't given me your top twenty, there is still time.
