Before I go

by cj592 @ 2007-07-24 - 15:53:59

.. for my night of musical mountains and raindrops on roses, this is a quick reminder that if you haven't yet voted for your top twenty films, the deadline is tomorrow.

Singing Nuns and Sandwiches

by cj592 @ 2007-07-24 - 13:50:06

Firstly I ought to clarify that the title of the post refers only to the fact that the Nuns are singing. It is not a collective verb as in the sandwiches and nuns are singing. I mean a nun singing is quite usual, but whoever heard of a singing sandwich? I have never heard a sandwich sing (although I have known a few blocks of cheese that can hum after a few days)

Anyway back to today

I got up this morning with my OH, and after she had gone to work, I decided to watch a film. I watched the original version of 'The Wicker Man'. It is completely different in style to the new version, a lot more erotic! And wow, Brit Eckland! Woohoo!!! :)
After that I nipped down to the local garage to buy some supplies. The weather was so nice I even wore my shorts (which is rare for me). I bought some cottage cheese, ham and chicken to make some sandwiches- which is what I did as soon as I got home. They are now neatly wrapped up in cling-film in the fridge. Well, when I say neatly..... have I ever mentioned my love/hate relationship I have with cling-film? It is messy stuff and I am sure was invented by a woman that really hates men! I imagine women never have trouble with it- it's like it has built in gender recognition software.

Presently
I am at the moment watching Alias series 4, which I have had on DVD for ages and not gotten around to watching yet.

Later on, my OH and I will be getting the train into London to see the Sound of Music. We have been wanting to see it for ages, but tickets have been difficult to get. It will be a rush for my OH as she is working today and we will have to leave pretty soon after she gets back. Which is why I have made sandwiches. We will be having a nice little picnic on the train.

Hope everyone else is having a nice day

Arse-hole of the week

by cj592 @ 2007-07-24 - 08:22:38

And my 'Arse-hole of the week' award goes to all the insensitive knobs cashing in on the misery caused by floods. Especially the guy who was selling a bottle of water for £15! Get a social conscience you prick!

Sorry, rant over!

Dance nights and morning hair

by cj592 @ 2007-07-24 - 08:16:15

So last night I decided I would go dancing. And it wasn't as bad as the first week was a fortnight ago. For a start there were less people there, which made it less claustrophobic. However, the walls were still sweaty and the lights were dim and brothel like- which was beneficial for me seeing as I had an extremely deformed nose. The dancing was tough but highly enjoyable- but I was knackered when I got home.
My biggest regret? Putting wax in my hair (which I only do when it gets too long for my liking). That's because when I started to get sweaty and ran my hands through my hair my hands got sticky and my hair went wild!

And this morning I had the most bizarre morning hair!
