Yesterday I went to see 300, which I actually knew very little about. THe advert makes it look quite gory and bloodthirsty. It's about 300 Sparta soldiers fighting the Persian army agaisnt all odds. I didn't even know where Sparta was! Whenever I hear the name Sparta, I just keep thinking of Spartacus.... which got me thinking.... Was Spartacus named after the place Sparta? If so, was it traditional to name people after places, and what would the country be like now if people named their children after places (Like Brooklyn Beckham??)
So what names would there be?
Hemel HempStan
Weston SuperMary?
LittlehampTony?
Hmmm.
Something to think about
