I was delighted to see that The Last King of Scotland got THE ALEXANDER KORDA AWARD for the Outstanding British Film of the Year. It was a remarkable film, in fact I have increased the rating on my review blog from 8/10 to 9/10. It also won best adapted screenplay and for the best actor to Forest Whitaker for his portrayal of General Amin!

Helen Mirram and the Queen did well, although it is not a film I have seen.
I see Casino Royale only got one award, and that was for best Sound- and that's not even a visual award. Their big istake obviously was not casting me in the lead role- If they had, then they would have got all the 'picture' awards as well !!!!

I see that tag fairy has been sneaking around my tags again. I spotted a couple of new ones. The first is Sneaky McSneaktagger- which obviously is a description of themselves and not me, cos I wouldn't dream of tagging anyone at all
THe next one is 'loves his oh' which I assume has something to do with my Other Half and not an exclamation of surpsise. Although it is true I am quite fond of an 'oh' every now and then I am more partial to a 'Bugger' (As an exclamation, before anyone gets any ideas)
Talking of my OH, she is home now. She has managed to get off a little bit early (te new bosses really like her) as she said "I've got to go and look after C.J. He hasn't got a cold you know, it's worse than that- It's man flu" It's nice to know that my OH has fully grasped the severity of my condition. Apparently, the man boss nodded in sympathy whereas the female boss was trying hard to conceal a snigger behind her hand- probably a nervous reaction because she realises how potentialy fatal it can be.
I quite like that phrase "It's worse than that, It's man-flu", although it does sound like a line from the song Star Trekkin'......

I had a rough night. I woke up gasping for breath because my swollen sore throat had closed up. IT was scary and knocked me sick.

I feel so rough now that I am going to pass up on my cooked breakfast. Instead of that I am having Lemsip. And maybe later I will have some Hot Totty
