That Sunday night feeling on a Tuesday

by cj592 @ 2007-01-02 - 18:27:17

I've got that Sunday night feeling. The night before you return to work. And I really don't think I am ready to go back yet. I have done a bit of work but still feel underprepared for tomorrow's full timetable.
Ho Hum. I am going to be all on edge tonight. I doubt I will be able to relax.
At least it's only three days until the weekend.

2 Neil Fox; - Oh well, there's always one comedy entry
3 Lee Sharpe; footballer
4 Phil Gayle; News reader
5 Ulrika Jonsson; slapper
6 Duncan James; singer. did he go solo?
7 Stephen Gately; Last time I saw him was as the childcatcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
8 Clare Buckfield; From 2.4children but I remember her in Grange Hill
9 Kieran Bracken; Rugby player.
10 Lisa Scott-Lee; God she gets everywhere!

I remember when I watched this I really wanted to learn to Ice Skate.
Hold on, I've just realised something...
When I watched Ice Skating, I wanted to be great skater
When I saw a good choir I wanted to be a good singer...

Now I know why my wife is trying to get me to watch porn!

Hair cutting ASBO tallies and a prophetic dream

by cj592 @ 2007-01-02 - 12:22:54

Tuesday the 2nd of January.
Getting my hair cut is not one of my favourite pass-times, unlike my OH who seems to relish in going to the hairdressers. She can come back with some interesting tales! However for me, it is something that I have to endure, I am not interested in talking about where I am going on holiday or having to repeat every time what I do for a living, always with the same results.
Hairdresser: So what do you do?
Me: I'm a teacher
Hairdresser: What do you teach?
Me: Maths
Short silence
Hairdresser: Oh I was never any good at maths.
Me: That's probably why you're cutting hair for a living.
{Actually I only think that last bit}
Having said all that I do like my barbers. It's a gent’s barber and you don’t have to suffer long conversations. However it is very trendy and gets very busy just before kids go back to school. It fills up with spotty teen boys getting notches carved into their heads, which I can only assume I a tally of how many ASBO's they have gathered to date. Me I much prefer the simple army crew cut! Which is why I occasionally cut my own hair. We have a set of clippers, which occasionally gets used to cut my hair or trim my unmanageable sideburns. So last night I had a decision to make: Should I go into town and sit amongst the hoodies waiting to get their modern hair art carved into their scalps (In fact, why bother paying out so much money for a cut when they are going to cover it with a hoodie anyway?) or should I shave myself.

Obviously this was on my mind last night as I had a dream. I dreamt that I shaved my own hair and the number 2 clipper thing fell off and a shaved a bald landing strip into my head and then I had to go to school like it. Now was this an anxst-ridden nightmare or a prophetic look into the future? If I did shave it myself will I end up with a huge groove in my scalp?

Well I suppose if I did, I could always tell all the kids it's the notch to represent an ASBO I have got.
