45 minutes and all I have is a string of DirectX-pletives

I thought I wold try something new this evening. My OH bought my the new Broken Sword game for the PC and whilst she is watching CSI:Miami (She likes the ginger guy in it: Don't figure) I thought I would load up the game and give it a bit of a play. I have always enjoyed the Broken Sword series!
So I loaded it up and it was all set to run when. Pop-UP!Error! There is an error starting DirectX.
Boo!
So I thought I would try to install some of DirectX from the disc. I did that and tried to play and. Pop-UP!Error! There is an error starting DirectX.
Damn! So I uninstalled the game and installed it again and ...Pop-UP!Error! There is an error starting DirectX. It even tells me that it has pasted the error onto the clipboard, but there is nothing there!
So I went online, to where you can download DirectX and tried installing it again. Feeling confident I tried playing again.
And guess what
Pop-UP! >:XX Error! There is an >:XX error starting >:XX DirectX.

That is why I like the playstation. It's only purpose is to play games. No messing around with all sorts of programs!

Well my little sojourn into learning latin has begun today. With a little help from a book I got for Christmas and a website, I can now say with all confidence that Isabella gives land to the church! Oh yes, if I ever get lost in Latinland I will have no problem conversing with the natives. Unfortunately, the things I can say at the moment does tend to veer heavily towards me giving land to the church- which I suppose is useful if I do get lost and have to bribe the natives to help me. I wonder if the Queen will my me giving the United Kingdom away?

Oh and I learnt this...

A home away from home

Ah. Vice City. It's like a home away from home. I got Vice City Stories for Christmas, and it doesnt feel that long since I finished the PS2 version! And it starts off in the Army base, which I seem to remember not being at all used in the original game!
I have quite a lot of 'time consuming' gifts for Christmas. Mostly DVD's and Games. Including the Doctor Who series 2 box set (special Cyberman head edition), Lost season 2, Little Britain live and series 3, a few 'point and click' PC games... and all I need now is some time to watch/play them.
I am watching 'THe Christmas Invasion' as we speak.
