The Dirty, Blurty, Squirty Dozen

by cj592 @ 2006-10-14 - 19:43:48

The X-factor first live show. Here are my thoughts o the singers....

Robert sings ‘All Night Long’, and even though there were a few bum notes, it really looked like he was enjoying his performance. A good way to start the show

Is it just me, or does Kate Thornton look like Roly from Eastenders.

Eton Road sing ‘My Girl’. That lead singer, who always did look freaky, looks like a cross between one of the Corrs and Liza Minelli- not a fantastic look for a guy! The song was OK, a little bit too wibbly wobbly and high for my liking.

Nikitta s next singing, actually I don’t know what the song was. I like her but it was bland. Ooh Louis agreed with me.

It’s Ben, and if you believe the newspapers, he’s a crack addict whose girlfriend’s mum/dad is a close family friend of Sharon. He is singing the tracks of my tears, but I am more concerned about the tracks on his arms. His voice is a bit too gravely for me

The Macdonald Brothers. Not a bad look for them either, although he blonde one looks a bit like Robert Carlyle. Singing ‘Three times a Lady’. They sound a bit nervous there. I liked that but I don’t think they were strong enough to survive this week. I hope they do though

Ray, singing Ben. A strange choice of song- a song about a rat. Having said that I really enjoyed the film. I thought he was out of tune and a bit too cheesy. I am sure he will do well because there are a lot of cheesemongers out there whole will vote for him. Not my Glass of Jack I’m afraid. Now, where can I get hold of the film again. He reminds me of someone but I can’t put my finger on it.

Dionne is next with ‘I’m gonna make you love me’. It started off quite deep, which didn’t suit her voice, but whenit got higher it come across a lot better. I good song, and she didn’t forget the words- probably because there was only 1 line in the whole song ;)

The Unconventionals were dancing in the street and singing in a muddle. I actually like these guys- because they are different, I think I have a thing for the underdog. It’s a shame that they look like a cross between the cast from Men Behaving badly and Hi-de-hi. However I think they have been styled better now. But have they done enough to get through? Wait and see.

Ashley is easy like a Sunday Morning. However his hair looks like a wild Saturday night. A lot of people, including Simon, really rate this guy- but I can’t see it. Didn’t Andy Pandy or one of the Raggy dolls have hair like that?

Kerry’s voice sounds like it would really suit Country music. ‘You are the sunshine of my life’ is her choice of song and she did it well. But is it enough? PS, she is beautiful too.

4sure et to sing ‘what becomes of the broken hearted’ Now that is a great tune! And they have been styled quite well- although I have never really got to grips with suit jacket and tie with jeans. Hmmm. Perhaps that’s just me being old fashioned. A safe performance, but not groundbreaking.

Leona sings I’ll be there and does a very good job of it. She is really nice (and fit) but I wouldn’t call her unique (like Mariah Carey). And she made use of the stage- which shows confidence. Actually I thought it was really, really good!

So who is going to b in the final 2? If it were up to me I would put Ray or Ben or Eton road up, but I reckon that the public will not vote The Macdonald Bothers or The Unconventionals. Watch this blog space

Madonna's secret meeting with the judge

by cj592 @ 2006-10-14 - 10:36:41

Madonna is going to be up in court to justify her decision to adopt a Malawi baby. Originally Madonna wanted to adopt a girl.
I have managed to get a secret transcript of the conversation between her and the judge

Judge: You know why you have been brought here. What you have done
Madonna: Causing a Commotion?
Judge: Yes you have! And what can you say for yourself?
Madonna: Sorry
Judge: Now can you explain to me why you went to Malawi
Madonna: Holiday
Judge: It says here you took some kind of Harrier Jet. What kind was it?
Madonna: Jump
Judge: And where did it take off from?
Madonna: La Isla Bonita
Judge: And what did you read on the plane?
Madonna: Vogue
Judge: And how did you get into the country?
Madonna: Borderline
Judge: And did you stay at the border or did you go further in?
Madonna: Deeper and Deeper
Judge: When you saw the little girl you wanted to adopt, what did you say?
Madonna: Who’s that girl?
Judge: And what did she say to you?
Madonna: You must love me
Judge: But she was hardly clothed. How did she seem to you?
Madonna: Frozen
Judge: So what did you say to her?
Madonna: Dress You up
Judge: What in?
Madonna: Material Girl
Judge: And then you met the priest. What did you say?
Madonna: Oh Father
Judge: And when he told you not to adopt a kid, what did you say?
Madonna: Papa don’t preach!
Judge: What else did the girl say to you?
Madonna: Rescue me
Judge: And how did that make you feel?
Madonna: Like a Virgin
Judge: So you felt motherly towards her. Why is that?
Madonna: Human Nature
Judge: What can you offer the child?
Madonna: Mother and Father
Judge: Anything Else?
Madonna: American Life
Judge: And what will you call it?
Madonna: Dear Jesse
Judge: Why should I let you adopt this child?
Madonna: You Don’t know
Judge: Don’t know what?
Madonna: What it feels like for a girl
Judge: I’m still undecided
Madonna: Open your heart
Judge: And what’s in it for me if I do?
Madonna: Hanky Panky
Judge: That’s decided. You win. Case Closed! Except it's going to be a boy, what will you call him?
Madonna: Ray....
Judge: Ray?
Madonna: of Light!
