Previously on CJ blog. Yesterday I told you about someone who hd tried to get a bank loan using my OH's account.

Well, now there's more....
Today, when she got home from a trip out, there was a phone message from a bank in Stratford asking her to phone them immediately. Apparently, someone had phoned the bank and said "I have left my card somewhere and I want to check the details"- and then read off some details to the bank clerk. And then they arranged a time to come in to organise for a bank loan! This is the second time in two days! Anyway the Stratford bank had seen a note on the screen saying that someone had tried to do this yesterday, and had contacted her straight away! So that's another plus point for the bank!

Apparently the 'person' had been using details that are 2 years out of date (so mey not have been able to get anywhere.) Anyway, my OH has been to her bank here and they have frozen the account. She now has to go to the bank if she wants to make any transactions. Her local bank is great, and they knw her so that's OK. But it is a worry that this has happened twice in two days.
Anyway, the Stratford Bank logged something- the phone number of the person who called asking for the loan. It is a mobile number. So the bank tried calling it but someone called 'Richard' answered. I am very tempted to post the number here so that everyone can phone it and give him hell- except it ould probaly be a cloned phone. WE think it may be a London based organised crime syndicate, trying their luck. What's worrying is that old companies throw away their old computers without wiping the memories so its hard to kow exactly what information is out there!!!!

So we have called the police and we now have a crime number.
