I am beginning to get irritated. Why oh why don’t they make things to work properly, and why oh why, when you pay to get something fixed, doesn’t it just stay bloody well fixed.
I guess I am having technical and mechanical difficulties. The CD player which was sent away to be mended (because all the CD's kept jumping) was returned. You may remember we had great fun putting it back together again, after my OH unplugged it all but couldn't remember where all the leads went. Well we had accidentally left a CD in the machine, and when we got it back the CD was still in the machine. And we were charged £85 for the replacement laser thingy. However, the damn thing still jumps, and now I am wondering I they even bothered to open the thing up. Did they remove the CD only to replace it? I would have thought they would have removed it and placed it into a separate case. But now I think they did bugger all, and charged for the pleasure.
And this morning when I was driving to work, a little light came on the dashboard. IT said 'Service'. "How odd", I thought. After all, I had only recently had the car serviced, so why was it asking me for another one? And another light appeared. It sort of looked like one of those circuit diagrams you are made to draw in School in Physics lessons. "Why is that light on?" I thought to myself. Did it want me to try and remember where to place the switch and bulb symbols? Anyway I carried merrily on my way. When I was driving home, the lights came on again. So when I got home I decided to look up what they meant, in case they were important....
Here’s a rough idea what the book said....
"IF the 'Service' light lights up, then there is a problem. If it stays lit then you must not drive your car. Please contact the dealership immediately."
Oh bugger! There was I merrily driving to and from work and I shouldn’t be driving it at all. But why? I decided to check to see what the other symbol meant
"This light symbolises Toxic Gas"........... oh
I am so NOT driving this car tomorrow
