  • My Retro Gaming Journey

Hearing all these tales of games consoles I thought I would describe my journey through my retro console life.

It started off in Junior school when my school leant me a ZX81 for a weekend. There was a skiiing game, which looks so dated now.
Then my friend got a Sinclair 48K spectrum. and had loads of games and I was jealous.
My Brother in law also had an atari and used to play pitfall when I went round.
Then I got a Sinclair 128K+2 for my birthday. I convinced my dad that it would be great for homework. (Hahahahahahaha). I used to spend hours playing gauntlet, and just as long loading it. I can still hear the screaching, whining of the tape loading.
When I went to Uni I bought myself a SNES. MY friend Jo and I used to stay up really late playing all sorts of games, including marioworld and The Adamms Family. That SNES saw us through the break upof two of our friends, so we owe it a lot!
When I got my first Teaching job I treated myself to a Playstation and introduced myself to Lara Croft. Since then I have never turned back.
I am now on the PS2 and am looking forward to the PS3!
