Well I have been up and about early today.
We went to take my car for a service (to get rid of the flashing spanner thing
)
I had to drive the other car which is totally the wrong way round and not as technical. I was pulling at the doorhandle for ages until I remembered that it wasn't an automatic cardkey entry like mine. And there was no sunroof, no air con and no CD player- How did I ever cope?
D
When we picked the car up we asked why the doors weren't oworking properly. You can't unlock all the doors from the outside (You have to get in and open them from inside) We even tried atacking the door workings with a screwdriver. Then we were told that all you had to do was slick the open door button twice!
we didn't even read the manual!
It is A-level results day, so I have been into work. The results were as expected, so I am not disappointed. There were a couple of 'fails' but if they don't put in the work what do they expect. Plus, a foreign students they ahve a lot of language barriers to overcome (Can you overcome barriers?)
And I managed to finally complete my list. If you remember my To Do list from Monday
1) Write To Do List
2) Shave
3) Get dressed
4) Post ebay items
5) Write a resignation letter
6) Go to work to deliver letter
7) Go to Cinema
So I have sent my letter, unfortunately the bursar is now on holiday so I don't know when he will be back to deal with it. The Lawyer we have been consulting was furious about the wording of the Confimration of redundancy letter we received. Not about the content, but the way it was phrased- saying that we had to apply to be released early from our contract (so we are free to work in September) and it would be them doing us the favour from releasing us. Actually we are doing them the favour, and it is our right to terminate our contract because they have failed to provide work.
Still I don't care, It's over and I am just want to move on with my life!
