The past couple of days have been odd. What with the work situation suddenly coming to a conclusion (possibly) and the Argos saga.
I mentioned before that I was trying to get hold of the Dalek Battle pack with Cyber Leader (I put a link to it) and on Saturday we bought the only one from Argos only to find it was the one with the Doctor figure and not the Cyber leader- which there was no mention of this either on the web site or in the catalogue.

Yesterday I went to T. Wells to see if there was one there. They had one which was 'Available on Monday 7th'. That was good seeing as yesterday was Monday 7th, so I went to the till and said "I see you have one available from Monday 7th"
This was the reply:
"Well when it says Monday 7th it actually means Tuesday 8th. It's because the delivery is due on Monday but not until the evening. Still if you come back tomorrow...." Grrrr. It never said that on the computer thing!

So last night we phoned them up. We have ordered it to be delivered.
When we asked to make sure it was the correct one as advertised we got this reply "What do you expect me to do about it?" Well for a start we expect you to make sure we get the item that was described!
We will let you know if it gets delivered
Tonight we had a celebratory meal-Chinese take away (AKA my turn to cookD )

Lots of things falling into place, but still not out of the woods.

BRIT MEN TOP FOR FOREPLAY

CONTRARY to popular belief, British men are actually wonderful lovers and devote the most time to foreplay,

That's not contrary to any belief that I know

according to a survey out yesterday.
They spend an average of 17.44 minutes on foreplay, topping Aussies (17.2), Germans (16.92) and Mexicans (16.91), according to the poll for Men's Health magazine.

Now being a Statistician I am always interested in how you conduct surveys. So how would they have done this? By Experiment? Would they have snuck into bedroom with stop watches? Or perhaps women would actually send off for a 'Foreplay timing kit'. "Okay Barry, start .... NOW!"

Or perhaps they just did a survey. but would they ask Men or women? I am thinking that Men may give an overestimation of the time, whereas Women would be slightly less generous. Or perhaps they asked both men and women and struck a happy middle ground. Ironically enough 'Striking a happy middle ground' is part of my preferred technique

But where does the 17.44 minutes go? I am assuming they are taking into account the time it takes to turn the Telly off, close the curtains, remove the socks, bursh the teeth (If you're lucky) wipe the crumbs off the mattress, pick the fluff from the bully button and sniff the armpits. That takes about fifteen minutes (What d'you mean that's not how it's done )

Disappointingly for women, British men said they only lasted 18.6 minutes from foreplay to climax, five less than Mexican men. But magazine editor Morgan Rees said: "Brits are better in bed than most."

I wonder if Morgan was actually misquoted.. or perhaps they left off the last word. See if you can finish it off.
