How to make Eastenders more viewer friendly

by cj592 @ 2006-07-15 - 09:48:36

It looks like the BBC are reeling after the news that Eastenders got its lowest ratings ever last night having dropped to just 3.9 milliion.
Well if they are llking to boost their ratings I have a few suggestions

1) Make it interactive. Why not have viewers phone in to evict their least favourite characters from the show. Especially at christmas, as there is bound to be some kind of 'disaster' on the cards.
Who do you want to be slain horribly when the number 42 bus ploughs its way through the square?
Dial 12732813 and add 01 for Pauline, add 02 for Peggy or add03 for Keith Miller.... the lines have closed and the votes have been verified. YOu have voted for the writers to be evicted

2) Bring in a new family of Circus acrobats to live in the square. Because they work in a circus they could bring a bit of life and colour into the show. And if they set up the circus in the square, Ian could do the sandwiches. And because they are acrobats, they are bound to be fit!

3) Forget the East end of London, set it in a Jungle. Or if you can't afford the jungle- set it in Epping Forest. They get lost and there are lots of scary creatures to contend with. Like the Ghost of Roly the dog. And then every hour they have to type in some numbers into the Juke box in the Vic to play the old classics like Nick Berry's 'Every Loser wins' 'Cos if they don't there character will get sent to ..... Manchester!

There you go. Three ideas for a start. but I'm gonna stop there- I'mnot doing your job for you!

Today in reverse

by cj592 @ 2006-07-15 - 00:06:29

Working backwards through the day.

I am still up watching TV. MY OH has gone to bed (so I dont have to worry about unwanted erections at the moment ;) )

Nikki has been evicted! The Gurner is a gonner! Its a shame that the house has lost a big character, but I'd rather she go than Aisleyne- who I like.

Curry night tonight. It was a medium spicy, but it was still hot! I have never had and I dont think I would ever want a Vindaloo! Who can enjoy that?

I have finished Prince of Persia: Sands of time. I know its an old game and I got it cheap recently. It was quite good; I enjoyed the acrobatic problem solving but some of those creatures were hard to kill. Especially the blue ones with the huge weapons

I went to see Superman today. It was OK but Pirates was better.

Had a nice lie in this morning.
