Gadzooks! I didnt get much sleep last night. It was so hot! And today was really hot. It was our sports day today, although we nearly cancelled it because of the 'sever hot weather' warning. I was supposed to be doing the staff three legged race but my partner pulled out, so, apart from growing a third leg, I was out of the running. Not that it would have made a difference becasue those darned PE staff won. I have a sneaky suspicion that they had been... practsing!
It was our last consultation meeting today, and there was a pleasant surprise. The Governing body have agreed our request for an ex gratia payment, and should there be any money left after the sale of assets we may get something. HOWEVER, and there is always a however. There may not be a sale, but a straight transfer to another eduacational establishment where no many changes hands. Funny how they threw that one in! There is a saying, What they give with one hand, they take with another!
And it was my last duty day. Last one ever. I never have to do it again. I am starting to feel a bit sad. Things are changing. Everyones moving on... It's sad
