Army of Ghosts

by cj592 @ 2006-07-01 - 20:43:49

What a fantastic episode that was.
Started of with a great draw about ghosts appearing, being brought into existence by Chrissie from Eastenders who is in charge of the Torchwood institute. The Torchwood institute was started backi in 'Tooth and Claw' by The Queen Vic. So Chrissie will feel really at home. All we need now is for Den to come back.... Oh I speak too soon!
There's clips on the telly about how the Ghosts are interacting with everyone, including Derek Acorah (Who is now out of ajob) and a scene from Eastenders with Peggy Mitchell telling the ghost of Den to "Gerrart o' my pub".
To find out where the ghosts are coming from the Doctor does a spot of ghostbusting. and they end up at Torchwood.
And Guess who's there... A cyberman, Mickey and a huge sphere.
Jackie gets dragged along this time and there is some good dialogue between her and the doctor.
Unsurprisingly the ghosts turn out to be a Cyberman invasion, but it was still excellent. And the ending. I had heard afew rumours but didnt know how it was gonna end. So when the Daleks (including a black dalek) appeared from the sphere... well I almost had a wet moment! :P
Next week is gonna be a corker! Unless the Daleks and Cybermen decide to end the fight with a Penalty shoot out!

And the decision has been made

I turned down the second job

Reasons:
It was all about being comfortable and confident. Both jobs had a lot to offer, and I was missing one important piece of experience. Job 2 were needing that immediately and were giving me a probationary period. Now this wouldnt be too bad except there was a rumour that the Boss at Job 2 was very keen on firing people! He even hinted at something in the interview. But job 1 doesnt need it, but it will give me the perfect environemt to get it perhaps in the near future. job 1 has its new challenges, but in different spheres so I will be developing other skills whichwill look great on a C.V. And I dont feel now that I am letting anyone down and I can still look for other HOD jobs in the future.
All in all it was difficult decision, but I am satisfied with my choice. I just mustnt think about the money!

J - 2 hours.

by cj592 @ 2006-07-01 - 07:06:57

I am up early. I have tried playing Lj's game but got stuck ;)
Didnt sleep very well, what with the cold I have and this decision I need to make. I still haven't decided. My OH says that what is holding me back is my lack of confidence. But there is so much more to consider. For example; to me my life is not my work. Work is what I do to enjoy my life. So money is not that important. And I know my OH doenst really want me to take the second job, but is not saying it out loud.
I know that I am in a win win situation regardless, which is better than most in my place of work.

Two hours to go
