Oh Duty weeks are so tiring. I've been hard at it all day (oo-er) There were drinks with the new Senior Management (ie the head and governers from the other school) this evening. It was a strange atmosphere. When the head Goverenor (of the other school) gave his speech he started with "I feel I should be wearing my shining armour seeing as we've come to your rescue" Oh you could feel the heckles rise. Not a very sensible start. It'll be like me bigging up Liverpool in a brothel of Everton fans.
The staff were discussing who was gonna give our speach on the last assembly. We thought the HM might do a double speech seeing as she's leaving, but I dont think anyone could stand that. We then decided it would be the new Head just to give that 'welcoming' feel. And perhaps our HM could give a speech in their school. I said "It would be tit for tat. WE will have to put up with their tat and they can put up with our .... oops that didnt come out right!"
I have spoken in length to my Union Rep so its a wating game now.
