Ghostboat

by cj592 @ 2006-04-09 - 22:35:11

Well I decided to watch it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. But why did David Jason's character have to be called Jack?
Good story though, except for the 'trying to find the source of power' motive which was a bit lame and cheesy.
Anyone else watch it?

Invasion

by cj592 @ 2006-04-09 - 20:51:57

I'm watching Invasion at the moment. I really thought there was gonna be a 'Alien out of the stomach' moment. Maybe soon....

Edit: And I jsut caught the end of The Christmas Invasion on BBC3. Seeing those clips of coming soon is very exciting. Only a week to go :)

Robin Hoody and his Band of Happy Slappers

by cj592 @ 2006-04-09 - 19:23:01

The weekend is nearly over and my OH is preparing to go back to work tomorrow. (When I say preparing, I mean mentioning every 5 minutes that she is going back to work- shouldn't moan though, I do the same)
We are preparing to buy a new sofa as the one I am sitting on has a big hole in the seat and I am sinking into it. I ought to mention that I did not create the hole, Someone else in this room decided to jupm on the sofa- reminscent of Wayne Sleep jumping on his camp bed in I'm A celebrity. :))
Satruday night TV really needs something and as of next week the best TV show will start. Yes it's Doctor Who. When Doctor Who is over the BBC have planned another drama to fill the slot, and that is a modern retelling of Robin Hood. I'm not sure how they are gonna modernise it- perhaps whilst Robin is stealing from the rich, Little John could record the event on his mobile. Perhaps they can rename it "Robin Hoody and his Band of Happy Slappers" That reminds me of a comic line I heard once, but I don't know what film it's from....
"Who's Maid Marian?"
"Who Hasn't?"
Still back to tonight and the biggest decision I have to make is... shall I watch ghostBoat?

Holiday Diary part 5: The final run and childhood pets

by cj592 @ 2006-04-09 - 14:27:09

Friday 7th April

After our last full breakfast it was time to head home. But not before stopping at Trego Mills for a spot of quality shopping ;)
At the mills we managed to get hold of some Easter Eggs at a reasonable price... unless of course if a member of my family is reading this then the eggs are top quality and very expensive! We also tried to get hold of a potted geranium for my mum, but the pot plants weren't labelled and the only thing I could think of was picking up a packet of seeds and trying to match the picture to the plant. That was quite amusing to watch. However all the plants looked a little weathered so we decided to wait until we got home until we bought the plant. Also if I'd bought it, I would probably have killed it by the time it got to my mum. I really am NO good with plants. I even killed my pet moss, Murray, when i was a kid. Luckily Stan the Stone survived for much longer.
(Ps: I used to own a stone that was exactly the same shape and colouring as Snoopy's head-including a black patch for the nose!)

The drive home was slow but uneventful- apparently we just missed a whole lot of traffic on the A35 so that was good. There was an awful lot of traffic heading toward the South West- glad I wasn't going in that direction.
Eventually we got home and it was time to unpack. I like holidays, but I also like coming home after them. So it was time for a cup of tea, feet up and Hustle.

Weather: Cloudy with rainy showers
Breakfast: Full English
Lunch: None, we decided to drive home
Dinner: Toasted Cheese Sandwiches
